What is the job?
- Load and unload installation equipment and place in work areas
- Keep trucks clean
- Verify equipment at each job
- Complete work on time
- Install, repair and maintain garage doors
- Clean up after work
- Operate tools as directed
- Check and maintain installation equipment and truck
- Perform other tasks as directed
- Ensure compliance with safety standards
- Inventory the truck
Products installed or repaired:
- Garage doors of all brands
- Fire-resistant doors of all brands
- Quick-roll doors of all brands
- Garage door openers of all brands
- Dock levelers and sealing pads of all brands
We will take steps to obtain competency cards if you do not have them.
Continuous training on the technical aspect of products (installation and repair)
Training and certification in the use of forklifts, platforms, etc.
Equipment used
- Your own Truck
- Power and manual tool
- Ladders
- Welder
- Platform Lift or Basket
Requirements
- Year of job-related experience: At least 1 year
- Languages spoken: French, functional English
- Numeracy, numeracy and measurement skills
- Monteur-Mécanicien-Vitrier or Charpentier-Menuisier (CCQ) skill card is a requirement.
- Have no fear of heights
- Knowledge of power tools (drill, grinder)
- Proficient welding
- Be autonomous
- Good technical knowledge of garage doors
- Be thorough
